Prepare for Monday Night Football's playoff version.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network says that the league is currently "tinkering" with its Super Wild Card Weekend format. The new schedule, which is still in flux, would feature two Saturday games, three Sunday games and one Monday game.

Six teams were traditionally included in the NFL playoffs. The top two seeds received byes to the Divisional Round. The league increased the postseason with the 2020 campaign. This led to the first ever Super Wild Card Weekend.

The playoffs featured seven teams per conference, so the No. The No. 1 seeds were the only ones to be granted first-round byes. This meant that there were three games Saturday and three Sunday games.

The AFC saw the Buffalo Bills defeat the Indianapolis Colts and the Cleveland Browns defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Super Wild Card Weekend, the Baltimore Ravens defeated Tennessee Titans.

The NFC saw the New Orleans Saints defeat the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams defeat the Seattle Seahawks, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeat the Washington Football Team.

Although a single playoff game on Monday night would be a big draw, Rapoport said that the broadcast partner has yet to be chosen. Monday Night Football is broadcast by ESPN during the regular season.

To avoid an unfair advantage for one team, it would be safe to assume that the winner of Monday's game in the first playoff weekend would play one of the later rounds of Divisional Round.
