Docking a Surface Pen to your Surface Duo 2 phone will cost $65

Microsoft's new smartphone, the Surface Duo 2, will be available October 21st. If you purchase an optional Surface Duo 2 Pen Cover you can magnetically dock and wirelessly recharge the $130 Surface Slim Pen 2 stylus, and then use it with your Android phone.
Microsoft today confirmed to Windows Central that the special cover will cost $65 and be available for purchase on October 21st. The Surface Duo 2 will launch on the same day, but the special cover was not available for pre-order and is still not available to add to your cart. The Pen Cover is listed as Coming Soon on the product page.

It adds 32g (0.07oz), weight to the phone. The listing shows that it is not a complete case but a half shell with floating bumpers. It is also compatible with the original Surface Slim Pen. However, it is not clear if the pen can be charged or docked. It can be ordered in both black and white, which blends well with your phone.

This is our first experience with the Surface Duo 2; we will be doing a complete review later.

Microsoft claims that the original Surface Duo will receive an Android 11 update by the end of this year.
