Brian Laundrie is currently wanted by the federal government. An arrest warrant was issued for Gabby Petito's murder.
Laundrie was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for the crime Use of Unauthorized access Devices. Particularly, Laundrie was accused of using a Capital One Bank debit cards. Although the document doesn't specifically state that it was Gabby's card in the document, this seems to be a reasonable assumption.
The indictment outlines the timeline of the alleged illegal use of the card... It was used between August 30 and Sept. 1, to purchase items worth at least $1,000.
It is significant that he returned to Florida with his parents Sept. 1. The FBI asked for public assistance in Gabby's case when Gabby disappeared around August 28. Later, she would be reported missing in September.

Interesting, the feds have not linked the homicide of Laundrie to Laundrie. It's likely that there are still some loose ends. There must be probable cause for Laundrie's death to obtain a warrant. And it's not clear if physical or other evidence is present at the crime scene linking Laundrie with the homicide. The indictment gives the feds the right to take Laundrie into custody, provided they can find him.
Although the preliminary autopsy report is not yet available, it is expected to be released soon. It will be crucial to determine the cause of death.
