Bailey's goal against Everton was Bailey's first for Villa.

Leon Bailey of Aston Villa, who scored one goal in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Everton and set up another, will be absent at least for three weeks.

Bayer Leverkusen's Jamaica forward suffered a strain to his thigh in the Villa Park encounter.

Bailey, 24, was named the man of the match, despite having only played 21 minutes. He had started in the 61st minute.

Villa hopes he will be available for Wolves on 16 Oct

Bailey will not be able to attend the club's Manchester United trip on Saturday or the home match against Tottenham on Wednesday, 3 October.

Dean Smith, Villa manager, stated that Leon has a strain that will likely keep him out of the international break.

"We are hopeful that he will be available for the Wolves match, but we will need him to be assessed closer to the time and then see how he does over the next 10 days."

Morgan Sanson, a midfielder, made his first appearance since April against Chelsea in Carabao Cup on Wednesday. He will miss a month due to a hamstring injury sustained in Villa's penalty shootout loss.
