There's still the possibility that Mike Lindell, a "reasonable and thinking person", could be rebuffed from his claim of voter fraud in Alabama. What if he isn't? The pillow magnate, like Joe McCarthy, who spent the 1950s on an anti-communist witch hunt, could be seen as "just perpetuating the myth he created for self-promotion."

John Merrill, who was the former chairman of Alabama Republican Party and has been the state's top election official since 2015. After meeting Lindell, he spoke to Insider. He also claimed that about 100,000 ballots were "flipped" by MyPillow's CEO, who was born again as an anti-2020 election crusader. This is a state in which former President Donald Trump won 62% of the vote.

Lindell met with Alabama's Secretary-of-State on September 17 to discuss "several subjects that were of concern for Mr. Lindell" and other citizens. The meeting was held after Lindell, who had predicted that Trump would be reinstated as president before the end of 2018, met with Lindell at his office to discuss "several topics that were of concern to Mr. Lindell and other citizens."

Merrill stated that Lindell claimed that Alabama's votes had been changed more than five to six weeks ago. This is what prompted the whole conversation. For three-and-a half hours Lindell and his associates shared evidence they claimed that votes had been changed on the day of election, from Trump to President Joe Biden.

He said, "He showed us an account of when the votes were flipped." The times at which the incidents were alleged to have occurred weren't clear. "I was like, "How did that happen? The polls weren't even open?" It was the same for a variety of things. They didn't have any response."

They didn't have any evidence to prove that the machines couldn't have been "hacked" as Lindell claimed. (State and national cybersecurity officials, which included members of Trump's administration, called the 2020 election "the most secure in American History."

Lindell posted a video to his website following the meeting and praised Merrill for his leadership. He also acknowledged that his statement that Alabama's voting machines are not connected to the internet, that they don’t even have modems, and that the machines were never connected to it. He was not deterred.

Lindell stated, "We're going find that hole." "I'm sure we'll find something inside the machines," Lindell said.

Critics say this was a predictable result and a reason not to give a notorious crank the time.

Is it legal to challenge a conspiracy theorist?

Insider was told by Wade F. Perry (executive director of the Alabama Democratic Party), that "it's pathetic" and "so obvious that Merrill is sucking upto Trump." He said that it was all political theater and it was stupid.

Merrill claims he hasn't reached any conclusions about Lindell and that he would meet again with him. Merrill shared a news story that he claimed referred to him as a conspiracy theorist on his Twitter account. Merrill claimed that he has a pulpit, whether he likes it or not. It is important to refute popular claims, even if they are made by a false prophet. The man could even come around.

Merrill stated, "I know that he is a multimillionaire. He didn't become one by being crazy or doing stupid things all of the time."

"A rational, rational, and reasonable-thinking person will say, "I must be wrong in the things I'm seeing." Merrill stated that if you cannot be moved from this position, you aren't very intelligent. "And most people would respond, 'You are an idiot.'

It will be interesting to see what the future holds. Margaret Chase Smith, a Republican lawmaker in 1950, spoke out against the "irresponsible sentimentalism" of Joe McCarthy, another member, of the GOP.

Merrill stated, "Then he followed the path of the buffalo. That's what happened." "And if this happens to Mr. Lindell then so be it. It will be a difficult day for him but a wonderful day for the country.

Many Republicans, who administer elections in Arizona and Pennsylvania, have been open to questioning the decency or members of their party. They believe that Chinese communists decided the 2020 election.

This is because the leader of the party, who lost in November to Donald Trump, is the main purveyor of falsehoods. As long as Donald Trump retains an unquestioned grip on the GOP, including support from many local officials; continues to make outrageous excuses for his loss; and continues to direct his followers to attack anyone who challenges his claims, Mike Lindell will continue his reign.
