NASA, DARPA, MIT Scientists Met to Discuss “Anti-Gravity” Tech

The Debrief reports that a number of NASA, DARPA and MIT scientists met in Zoom to discuss something normally reserved for fringe theorists or cranks in November: how to defeat gravitation.
To give scientists a forum to discuss controversial and sometimes far-fetched ideas, the inaugural Alternative Propulsion Engineering Conference (APEC), was established.

According to The Debriefs, there have been 22 meetings since then. Scientists discussed topics such as Non-Newtonian Em Propulsion and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena sightings.

It is, in other words, the Woodstock of gravity modification research. Ron Kita, founder of Chiralex, a venture that works on gravitational shielding material, described it as such in a quote for this events homepage.

The event was a stunner.

The Alt Propulsion community is extremely interconnected, and are sandwiched between aerospace, defense and electrical engineering, physics and frontier science cultures. Tim Ventura, conference organizer, told The Debrief.

People from all these cultures attend the conference and are present, despite the fact they don't always agree on certain topics. He said that we have been able avoid conflicts.

Despite this odd topic, 16 of the 71 attendees to the November event were former or current NASA scientists and engineers according to The Debrief. 14 others were associated with reputable institutions such as Harvard and MIT.

At November's conference, the topic of UFOs was a hot topic. This year has seen a significant pop culture revival with UFOs being discussed by military pilots, and the Pentagon teasing a long-awaited report that will be released in June.

Ventura explained that while everyone was aware of UFOs in the past, they were not well understood. Ventura said that scientists are now taking the subject seriously.

Gravitation, despite all their best efforts, still prevails. However, it is probably good that some researchers are taking the time to have long-term conversations about what that might mean.
