Microsoft's Surface Go 2 laptop is among the most affordable. Today, the company has released the new Surface Go 3.
It looks exactly like the Surface Go 2. Both devices share the same 10.5-inch 1920x1280 display, the identical set of speakers and cameras, and the exact same dimensions.
One thing is different: the new Intel processors. The Surface Go 3 can now be configured with an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y and Core i3-10100Y. This is a simple upgrade to the Go 2, which was equipped with a Gold 4425Y/Core m. Microsoft claims that the Surface Go will be 60% faster for everyday use with the chip bump.
This device runs Windows 11 and supports Windows Hello facial recognition. Windows 10 Pro and Windows 11 Pro will be available for commercial devices. Although the Go 3 supports Microsoft Pen Protocol, a stylus cannot be included. Microsoft claims that the Go 3 will have all-day battery life with optional LTE.
The Surface Go 3 is available now for pre-order at the Microsoft Store in selected markets. Although LTE models are not yet available, Microsoft claims they will be in the near future.
