The top European leagues have closed the summer transfer window! Many clubs waited until the very last minute to complete their transfers after a busy summer of international football. Check out our evaluation of the most important signings and all the deals. The window will close in January but that doesn't mean that rumours will stop coming.
TOP STORY: Wirtz may require 100m from Bayern
According to AS, Bayern Munich will have to pay at least 100 millions if they want to sign Florian Wirtz, Bayer Leverkusen's attacking midfielder.
Bayern was already aware of Bayern's interest and it will only grow. Bayern's third-youngest international from Germany has already scored four goals and assisted four others in five games across the Bundesliga, Europa League, and Bundesliga.
Although the contract for the 18-year old runs until 2026, the report suggests that a move could occur in 2023. Although Bayern has apparently reached a presumptive deal with Hans Wirtz (Fernando's father) and agent, it is likely that any club interested in signing Florian will have to fork out a substantial sum.
Bayer paid Chelsea 80m for Kai Havertz's transfer to 2020. The logic behind this sum is important, as the Bundesliga side are aware that Wirtz may surpass the man who scored the Champions League final goal.
Bayern may have difficulty persuading Wirtz, even though they offer enough to make Leverkusen fans swoon. Wirtz already said that he had always dreamed of playing in Barcelona as a child and that "that hasn’t changed".
