EXCLUSIVE: On Tuesday, the Ohio Republican Rep. Bob Gibbs introduced articles for impeachment against President Joe Biden. He cited his handling of U.S.-Mexico's border situation, attempts to extend the federal moratorium of evictions and the withdrawal from Afghanistan of U.S. forces.
The impeachment resolution was co-sponsored by the Republican Reps. Andy Biggs, Brian Babin, and Randy Weber from Texas.
This is something I take seriously. It's not random. Gibbs said in an interview that he was not trying to gain media attention. This is scary because he has done so much damage in just nine months.
Gibbs stated that he is not capable of serving as commander-in-chief. This was evident by his actions since January 1, when he assumed the presidency. Perhaps something like this will make the White House reconsider their actions before they continue to do such nonsense."
DEMOCRATIC INFIGHTING THE THREATENS BIDENS A BIG AGENDA
Although most of the Republican impeachment calls focus on the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan during which the U.S-backed government collapsed and the Taliban regained power, Gibbs' resolution contains three articles of impeachment covering two other issues.
Gibbs stated that we actually began working before the Afghanistan crisis because Gibbs was upset about the border- and eviction situation.
It's not going anywhere with Speaker Nancy Pelosi," Gibbs stated, acknowledging that there are very slim chances of an impeachment, while Democrats remain in the majority. It shows that some Republicans think this president should be impeached. He needs to be removed from his office in one way or the other," he said.
Gibbs stated that they will eventually be held responsible for their actions.
In his first article of impeachment, Biden is accused of violating his constitutional oath of faithfully executing the office of president with regard to his handling of immigration on the U.S.-Mexico frontier. It mentions Biden's halting the construction of the border wall and ending the policy that required migrants seeking asylum in Mexico to remain there. He also released "thousands" of illegal immigrants who arrived in the United States without being scheduled to appear in immigration court. This includes those who were positive for COVID-19.

Gibbs stated that if this isn't violating his office's oath to protect American citizens, safety and welfare, then I don't know what it is.
Under the Biden administration, the number of law enforcement encounters with illegally crossing southern border migrants has reached new records. The Supreme Court reinstated the January 2019 policy of President Donald Trump's "Remain in Mexico" and declared it lawful. If they are granted asylum, both the migrants who surrendered to federal law enforcement officers at border crossings or were arrested for trying to sneak over the border will be returned to Mexico.
In the second article, Biden is accused of violating the separation power by extending the federal moratorium against evictions despite clear warnings from the U.S. Supreme Court as well as no directive from Congress.
Biden tried to extend the federal pause on evictions because of the coronavirus epidemic days in August after Congress failed to extend it prior to July 31. Biden admitted that the "targeted order" might not be constitutionally sound. Congress could not extend it before the July 31 deadline.
In the third and final impeachment article, Biden is accused of failing to act responsibly in his role as Commander-in-Chief regarding the withdrawal of United States troops from Afghanistan.
Gibbs stated, "Who in their right mind would take troops out before they takeout American citizens?"
This move is an escalation in Republican resistance against Biden amid multiple crises his administration faces. It's especially due to the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
After 13 U.S. military personnel were killed in an ISIS suicide bomb attack outside Kabul's airport last month, a wave of Republicans demanded Biden's resignation, impeachment or removal.
Only a few Republicans have yet to sign on to impeachment resolutions.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican Rep., introduced an impeachment motion against Biden for abuse of power and enabling bribery related to Hunter Biden's son. Two more impeachment resolutions were introduced by Taylor Greene in August. One was about Biden's extension of an eviction moratorium that Republican Reps. Paul Gosar (Arizona) and Mary Miller (Illinois) co-sponsored. The other was about Biden's handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which has seven Republican cosponsors.
Randy Weber, a Texas Republican Representative, also introduced an article for impeachment against Biden. Weber claims that Biden encouraged Ashraf Ghani, former Afghan President, to misrepresent progress in fighting Taliban in a July 23 telephone call. This resolution was cosponsored by Jody Hice, a Georgia Republican Rep.

The House Republican leadership has not pledged to impeach Biden or endorsed him over the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan. However, Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Leader, promised last month that there would come a time for reckoning on how Biden implemented the withdrawal.
McCarthy stated in a press conference that we can hold anyone responsible for the actions taken, the lies told, the misdecisions made that put Americans in danger, and the decision not to leave them behind.
