Marcus Forsss, a West Brom native, joined Brentford in the summer 2017.
Brentford defeated League Two strugglers Oldham four times to reach the fourth round in the Carabao Cup. Marcus Forsss was awarded four points.
After Yoane Wissa had been fouled, Forss scored the Bees' third minute lead.
By half-time, the Finn had already completed his hat trick. His fourth goal made it 6-0. Wissa's and Raphael Diarra's goals stretched the Bees lead.
Wissa won a comfortable win with a bicycle kick late in the race.
Forss's first two goals were scored by Forss' international from DR Congo. He then added to the scoresheet when he scored a Mathias Jensen goal.
Oldham was not at ease - their fans have protested against the club's management - and Diarra's goal poked his own goal and Forss’ third made it 5-0 at the half-time.
The victory was the biggest for Brentford in the League Cup's history and allowed them to reach the fourth round in consecutive years for the first-time.
Thomas Frank, Brentford manager, said:
"I was really happy with the performance. It was a great attitude, even though we lost the game after only three minutes.
"Marcus is doing everything he can in training and he's a great player.
"He scored four very good goals. That should be a 10.
