Yes, the NFL's taunting penalty is racist

Most people don't realize that racism goes beyond hatred of someone because they are different from them. It's about a power dynamic which gives the hater the ability to be harmful to their victims.

As an example, calling out Black players who are too Black during a game.

The NFL and its officials have been very strict about taunting during the first two weeks. This has caused a lot of frustration among players and fans.

You will be flagged immediately for any offenses, such as throwing the ball at someone, jawing at someone or crossing your arms to tell me I just stopped you. The first violation will result in a $10,300 fine, and the second infraction will result with a $15,000.450 penalty to your pocket.

Please read the next section carefully. I mean everything.

Roger Goodell's version of the dress code David Stern established for the NBA in 2005. He wanted to make the league more appealing to white markets. After the NFL's continued racism against Colin Kaepernick, and the exposure for race norming, this was the NFL's way to tell white America: Don't worry. These ni**ers are still on a tight rope.

John Mara, Giants owner, stated that we get tired of the constant taunting on the field. While we tried to balance sportsmanship and allowing players to have fun, there is always a fine line. But none of us want to see that. It's just a matter of whether rules can be enforced without taking away the fun from the game. However, nobody likes to see another player taunting another. I'm sure you don't. The rest of the competition committee members feel the same way.

Mara also mentioned the competition committee. It is composed of 10 members selected by Goodell, and one NFLPA appointee. This is how player representation works.

Remember that Mara admitted publicly in 2017 that Kaepernick was not the Giants' quarterback depth or offensive scheme. He was shaken by the emotional support he received from his fans. This is the same man who signed Josh Brown to a two-year contract and gave Brown a raise. Brown was not cut by the Giants until there were outcries from the media. This shows that Mara doesn't care about integrity or rules.

Bill Belichick is another example of a man many consider the greatest coach and greatest cheater to ever play in the NFL.

Belichick stated on WEEI Boston Monday that he doesn't believe there is a place for taunting. It is poor sportsmanship that leads to other problems. This can lead to retaliation. And then, where do you draw the line. The rule's purpose is to nip it in its tracks and not allow it to get out of control.

I'm all for that. We should all go out and play football, and we should win. It's not about poor sportsmanship and taunting. This is not how I see good football.

Im confused.

This is the same man that once said to his team, "There's nothing wrong." You should actually be happy when you make a play. You should be proud of all the hard work that went into it.

Yes. He added that intimidation can be achieved when your opponent can see the picture visually.

I have always believed that white players who get upset or excited on the sidelines are instantly viewed with passion and love of the sport. It's too much or out of control for Black players.

Black joy was always regarded as criminal.

Blind people can see how the racial dynamics in the NFL workforce mirror those of corporate America. The majority of the league's players (and its workforce) are Black. There are a few minorities in the middle management (coaches, coordinators) of the company. The owners and league office executives are almost all white, which means that workers who are not of the same ethnicity as them aren't adequately represented at the meetings that are most important to them.

This is Racism 101. As you can see, it can be applied almost to anything. Teasing is the latest rule to ensure that the inmates don't run the prison. Fans and players will then get more angry. Tony Dungy will be on TV to represent them when that happens. He does this often to help the league put a positive spin onto racist decisions.
