Jo Lasorda, widow of former Los Angeles Dodgers manager, dies at 91

FULLERTON (Calif.) -- Jo Lasorda has died. She was the widow of Tommy Lasorda who was the former manager of Los Angeles Dodgers. She was 91.
The team announced Tuesday that she died Monday night at her Fullerton home. There was no cause of her death.

Tommy Lasorda, a former Joan Miller, met her at a minor-league baseball game in Greenville, South Carolina. He was playing for the Spinners. They were married on April 14, 1950. Their union lasted 70 years, until Tommy's passing in January at the age of 93.

Lasorda is survived her daughter Laura and granddaughter Emily, as well as Gladys Reeves, Greenville. Her son Tom Jr. preceded her in death.
