"The boys" are Cassie Laundrie’s children. Petito seems to have sent them cheerful postcards during her road trip.
Petito signed the cards "Aunt Gabby" and wrote about what she saw on her "van-life", trip.
"Oh my goodness! "Oh my gosh! Uncle Brian and I were sitting on a rock, eating a snack after a long hike. And then came the fattest squirrel that I've ever seen!" "She landed right on my lap!" She wrote one card.
"The sky is so wide, there are more stars than I have ever seen!" She wrote another note, possibly from Utah's Bryce Canyon National Park.
ABC4 also shared cards that featured colorful drawings of rock formations seen by the couple on their trip. "The rocks are amazing!" Petito wrote.
"Uncle Brian, and I have seen many different types of rock, I knew there was a variety of rocks, but I didn’t know that some formations are different, did you?" She continued.
