Explanation: Stars are currently forming in Lynds Dark Nebula (1251). The dusty molecular cloud, located about 1,000 light-years from Earth and floating above the plane of the Milky Way galaxy's Milky Way Galaxy, is part of a complex dark nebulae that are mapped towards the Cepheus flare area. Astronomical observations of the interstellar cloud obscuring the spectrum reveal energetic shocks, outflows, and other effects associated with newborn stars. The image also shows the reddish glow that is a result of scattered Herbig Haro objects. The scene is almost hidden behind the dusty background, but there are also distant galaxies. This captivating view spans more than two full moons in the sky or 17 light years at an estimated distance of LDN1251
