Apple's iOS 15 is here and iPadOS 15 is here. However, not all the features that were announced at WWDC are included in these new versions. To find out which features are missing from the iOS and iPadOS 15 versions, we looked at Apple's product pages. Except for Universal Control which isn't available for iPhones yet, all the features listed are missing on both platforms.
SharePlay is the most notable missing feature. It allows users to watch videos and listen to music with their friends via FaceTime calls. Apple had warned developers and us about the delay in removing SharePlay from beta testing, but it's still awkward considering how important the feature was at first glance. This delay is even worse as it holds back other features Apple recently announced that Group Workouts for Fitness Plus will be suspended until SharePlay is released.
Apple claims that Apple won't be able to provide better Find My Support for AirPods until later in the fall. Apple announced the feature at WWDC. Some of its headphone models will get an AirTag-like proximity view. AirPods Pro & Max will be able connect to the Find My network. This makes it easier to locate them even if they are not physically present. This is the worst delay for someone who is currently without an AirPods set (and whose hope of finding them drains like the earbuds batteries),
App Stores' in-app events feature will display limited-time features such as live video streams and in-game events. It is not yet available. It is marked with the same asterisk that the other features to indicate that it will be available later in the fall.
iPad users will have to wait for the amazing Universal Control feature. This allows you to seamlessly share a cursor across Macs and iPads. It shouldn't surprise that Universal Control was not launched. Unlike SharePlay, Universal Control wasn't available in betas. The feature also requires macOS Monterey, which is still being developed.

It is worth noting that these two features may be waiting for new hardware. Another Apple event in the fall seems possible, with expectations focusing on new MacBook Pros or AirPods. Although rumors are to be taken with a grain, it is understandable that Apple would wait to release a new macOS version with new hardware, if the timing is right.
