Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end, has amassed more than 8,000 career receiving yards faster than any other tight end in NFL history.

After he caught a five-yard pass in the third quarter of Sunday's road game against Baltimore Ravens, Kelce achieved the feat. Kelce has been in 113 games in his career and was the team's starting tightend in 2014.

Kelce, 31, is coming off a 1,416 yard, 105 catch, and 11 touchdown season. The 2021 campaign began with six catches, 76 yards, and two scores against the Cleveland Browns.

After his record-breaking reception, Kelce had four catches for 43 yards and Kelce had four more. Later in the quarter, he added a 46 yard touchdown catch.

According to the Chiefs Communications Department only eight tight ends have ever exceeded 8,000 career receiving yards. Tony Gonzalez, former Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons tight end, is currently No. With 15,127 career receiving yards, Gonzalez is No. 1 among the tight ends.
