The Emmys made a support group for actors without awards: Watch

It can be difficult to get Emmys nominations, especially for long-time TV actors who have never been on that stage. Cedric the Entertainer, 2021 Emmys host, led a tongue in cheek support group that included actors Scott Bakula and Alyson Hannigan, Fred Savage (of course), Zooey Deschanel (of course), Jason Alexander, and Dr. Phil.
"If you want an Emmy nomination, book Ted Lasso and The Crown!" He urged them. It was a good idea, considering the huge wins in both acting categories.

The Emmys' recent history is more sinister than Dr. Phil's comment and the lighthearted sketch. It seems that all the Emmys nominees seem to be the same show.

It's possible that The Crown is the best drama series in terms of acting, writing and directing. However, this is unlikely and it's a missed chance to recognize different shows for their unique elements. Even though they didn't win, shows such as Ted Lasso and The Handmaid's Tale received multiple nominations in many of their categories. This created an illusion for Emmy viewers that only a handful of shows are worthy of this recognition.
