Gabby Petito's Body Believed to be Found After Going Missing Amid Road Trip

Gabby Petito, a travel blogger and author who has been missing for at least several weeks, is believed to have been found dead.
Authorities said Sunday that they found what they believe are the remains of Petito in a large search of Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. This was among other parts of the country. It is also one of the places Petito and her boyfriend Brian Laundrie had visited recently on a cross-country road trip of over a month to the west coast. They were also documenting the online expedition.

According to a representative of the FBI, although forensic tests are still not completed, they found a body that is identical to Gabby's. Petito's family was also notified, but no cause of death has been established.

Gabby's family reported Gabby missing on Sept. 11, after she had not heard from her since August and after Brian returned to North Port, FL without Gabby. Laundrie and his family reportedly refused to talk with investigators up until Friday. However, his loved ones reported him missing on Tuesday, saying that they last saw/heard him on Tuesday.

According to the Petito's, Brian was radio silent when they tried for answers, namely why he had returned in his own van with their shared van, where she last saw him, and why he would leave her by herself.

Her family suspects Brian is involved in her disappearance. They claim he is not missing, but just hiding. Although he has not been identified as a suspect, police have stated that he is a person of concern. A search for Brian is now underway.

The bodycam video of a Utah officer who ran into Gabby and Brian in Arches National Park before she vanished adds to the speculation. It sounds like they had a dispute.

Gabby is seen crying when the officer questions her about Gabby's OCD. Brian claimed that they were just arguing and there was nothing to worry about.
