PSG has Lionel Messi played three games without scoring in which he was a player

Paris St-Germain's Lionel Messi made a home debut, but was replaced by Lyon in the second half. They went on to win six consecutive games.

Summer signing Messi made a tackle at the angle of post-and-bar with a free kick in the first period. This forced Anthony Lopes to save the match, but was not his best.

He was replaced by Achraf Hakimi, right-back.

Messi received a round of applause from his fans, but not a standing ovation.

After leaving Barcelona in the summer, the 34-year old did not stop to say anything to his boss Mauricio pochettino as he walked past him to the bench.

Another substitute for PSG, MauroIcardi, scored the injury-time winner of the Ligue 1 match, when he headed in Kylian Mabappe's cross.

To give Lyon the lead, Lucas Paqueta brought in Karl Toko Ekambi’s cross.

Neymar won a controversial penalty. He was seen to have pulled back Malo Gusto, but the penalty was a spot-kick.

Before slotting in, Neymar waited until Lopes moved.

Neymar, Lionel Messi's former Barcelona team-mate, won PSG level against Lyon

This was Messi’s third game with Paris St-Germain, his third for any club other than Barcelona.

For fitness reasons, and due to the last international break, it took him 40 days to make his home debut.

His debut was last month, as a substitute for the second half in a 2-0 victory over Reims. The goals were scored prior to his introduction.

On Wednesday, he made his first appearance in the 1-1 Champions League draw against Club Bruges. The much-anticipated front three of Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe all began on Sunday.

Messi was able to hit the angle of the woodwork in Belgium, and again in Paris. He is still waiting for his first goal in PSG colours.

Although he did show some link-up play with Neymar from Barcelona, he is still not able to fit in the rest of his team.

PSG's next game will be Wednesday's Ligue 1 visit to Metz. They are looking to win seven consecutive league wins.
