Three shot as family fight over gifts at Pa. baby shower erupts into gunfire

Police said that three people were shot Saturday at a baby shower in Pennsylvania following a fight over gifts.
Lower Burrell is a small town 30 minutes northeast from Pittsburgh. Police responded to a report of an active shooting at Kinloch Fire Department shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday.

According to a Facebook statement by the city police, authorities discovered that it wasn't an active shooter situation. It was an isolated incident at a baby shower.

After shooting a man aged 23, a woman aged 19 and a boy age 16, the suspect was taken into police custody. The three victims were all taken to a local hospital with their gunshot wounds. Their condition is unknown.

Police believe that a family dispute broke out at the baby shower over gifts. The suspect then turned physical and pulled out a semiautomatic handgun before he began shooting.

The suspect's name has not yet been released. He is expected to appear in court soon. He was currently in a city jail as of Saturday evening.
