It was difficult in the past to decide whether to take advantage of deals like these, as change fees could often exceed the price of a ticket. Alaska Airlines no longer charges change fees for Saver tickets.
You can still book a ticket as long as you don't pay Saver fares. You can also have the ticket's value deposited into your travel bank account. The ticket can then be used within one year of its issue date.
