TOP STORY: Man Utd has inside track to Bellingham
According to the Sun, Manchester United is in pole position to sign Borussia Dortmund youngster Jude Bellingham.
According to the report, the Red Devils tried to impress the midfielder before he moved from Birmingham City to the Bundesliga side. This laid the foundation for his future move to Old Trafford.
In April 2020, Sir Alex Ferguson took Bellingham with his family to United's training grounds. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spent time with Bellingham to try to convince him to join United.
Although Bellingham was tempted by the possibility of playing games immediately, he made the move to Dortmund. However, it is believed that the 18-year old has been influenced by the treatment he received.
Bellingham certainly has had that playing time. He used it to impress in Champions League and Bundesliga to become an England international.
These performances indicate that Man United is not the only major club interested in signing Bellingham. Chelsea and Manchester City are also watching him.
According to reports, any club that wants to hire him would have to pay at least 100m.
United could be willing to pay this if they have a history of Bellingham conduct that works in their favor.

PAPER GOSSIP
According to Calciomercato, Internazionale is looking into the possibility that Donny van der Beek, Manchester United's midfielder, could be moved by Internazionale in January. They hope to negotiate a loan agreement with redemption rights. The Dutchman has had difficulty getting game time since his move to Old Trafford from Ajax Amsterdam. Last January, the Scudetto winners even considered making inquiries about him. However, it seems unlikely that he will sign a contract unless he gets into the team.
According to the Sun, Crystal Palace is interested in signing Orlando City SC striker Daryl Dike. However, they are not happy with the asking price of 18 millions. This United Stats player was a star at Barnsley, scoring three goals and providing an assist in eight of his games since his return to Major League Soccer. Palace is looking for someone who can develop into the team, rather than just starting immediately, and Orlando's demands don't seem to suit that.
Tuttosport has stated that Juventus defeated AC Milan to sign Kaio Jorge. They also believe that they could be in a second battle for Fiorentina's frontman Dusan Velahovic. La Viola want at least 40m to sign the Serbian. This was not enough for either side in the summer. However, they may both be able to pay that amount by next year. If he impresses this term, the price could rise even more.
According to the Sun, Southampton are targeting Hull City's Keane Lee-Potter. Their top scout has checked on him last Wednesday and plans to keep an eye on him throughout the year. The Saints are looking for domestic bargains, and it is possible that the Tigers will need to sell him in January or summer.
Ferencvaros has announced the signing of Marko Marin, a 32-year old attacking midfielder and flanker. He was a former Germany international who has played for clubs such as Sevilla FC, Werder Bremen, Anderlecht, and Chelsea.
