One of the worst things about mega-movies like Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchises is the insistence on keeping secrets. This means that people who work on them must lie to answer even the most basic questions. One Kit Harington.

Former Game of Thrones star Dane Whitman will be playing Dane in director Chlo Zhao's Eternals movie. This is a character comic-lovers and those who keep an eye on the MCU know as the Black Knight. We don't know if Whitman will start the movie as Black Knight or become the Black Knight after the credits (very possible in a post credits scene). We don't know if Whitman will be getting his own origin story movie. But we do know that Harington will play the Black Knight in a future Marvel movie.
Harington, however, is completely ignorant when asked about his MCU plans. He told Total Film that he doesn't know if his character will continue or not. I did my research on him and what he might be like. There is always the possibility of a longer path. This is, hopefully, the tip of an iceberg for me. I do hope so. But, I don't know. I'm as lost as everyone else. I don't try to look too far into the future. Even on Game of Thrones' sixth season, I assumed that the seventh season was not going to happen.
You know Dane Whitman's future better than anyone else, my dude. It has been planned out. Marvel Studios plans its movies far in advance, because they all have to be connected to make a coherent story such as the Infinity Saga. Also, it has to work with Harington's filming schedule. We all know that Kevin Feige did not hire Jon Snow to play a small part in Eternals. This is an actor that you can build a franchise around. The Black Knight can also get a solo movie if Morbius, the Living Vampire, can do it.
Marvel currently has four movies planned for 2024. These include November 8, February 16, May 3, July 26 and November 3. Marvel Studios knows the names of those movies, even though we don't know their contents. Kit Harington knows for sure if he is starring in any of them.
Eternals stars Richard Madden and Angelina Jolie as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani and Kingo as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff playing Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry playing Phastos, Salmahayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh playing Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh. They probably know as well.
