Joel Piroe scored his fifth goal of the season, earning Swansea a Point
After a thrilling Kenilworth Road contest, Swansea City came back from 3-0 down and claimed a point at Luton Town.
Swansea was blown away by Luton in the first period. Luke Berry scored and Elijah Adebayo twice struck.
Russell Martin's team was on track for a humiliating defeat. But, they bounced back brilliantly after the break.
Jamie Paterson and Olivier Ntcham each scored from a distance before Joel Piroe equalized in stoppage time.
After dominating the first period with Adebayo scoring from close range and the spot, Luton seemed certain to end its four-game losing streak.
After Martin made three adjustments at half-time Swansea was able to improve on their first-half performance and clawed back into the game through Paterson's and Ntcham’s first goals for the club.
They looked set for a fourth league loss of the season, but Piroe's near post drive completed a classic game between two halves.
Swansea fall to 21st, despite winning a draw that felt like victory. Luton drop to 13th after letting their victory slip away.
Although the Hatters needed to score in stoppage time to avoid losing their previous two games, they took the lead here right away.
Swansea tried, as always, to play from their own area of penalty, but fell apart under the weight of the home team's strong press.
Luton made the breakthrough in seven minutes. Swansea's inability to clear Harry Cornick’s long throw was punished by Berry who crashed in from 12 yards, his third goal in three games.
Kyle Naughton was then able to pass a loose ball on the edge his box as Adebayo fired in, but Adebayo was unable to score. The Swansea defender was again caught out a minute later when he got into a fight with Cornick. Tony Harrington pointed out the spot.
Adebayo sent the spot-kick quickly, striking the ball high into Ben Hamer’s net.
Rampant Luton scored a third goal with Kal Naismith's diagonal pass sending James Bree into space. His measured cross was tapped in by Adebayo at the far side.
Former Walsall striker should have scored a first-half goal, as Swansea lost next to a ball over top. But, he lifted his shot above Hamer and narrowly missed the far post.
Luton were fortunate to not be reduced to 10 men by the end of the first half. Ryan Manning was clattered by Henri Lansbury after Swansea's wing-back tried to slow down the taking a free kick.
After Swansea couldn't deal with Harry Cornick’s long throw, Luke Berry puts Luton in front.
Swansea may have felt a bit defeated, but they were able to enjoy the scoreline. Their first chance came in the first-half, and it was theirs. Paterson scored after Ethan Laird's good work.
Martin brought on Piroe, Ntcham and Ben Cabango during the break. His team rallied as Michael Obafemi’s volley touched the crossbar, before Paterson rumbled the woodwork with an aggressive drive.
Luton should've had a fourth man on the counter-attack. Cornick was one-on-one but Luton hit the post. It would prove to be a costly miss.
Ntcham scored for Paterson, scoring his second goal of season with a 20-yard deflected drive that looped over after Simon Sluga had parried.
Ntcham struck again from further out, perhaps due to a slight deflection. Piroe then beat Sluga at the near post in minute two of added time.
Swansea head coach Russell Martin:
"I am proud of these players. The second half was intense and courageous. It was a terrible situation in football. We were 3-0 down at the half-time break, being completely dominated. I won't lie about it.
"To be able to come back from it in the way they did was amazing, extraordinary. The players were so patient and determined to stay true to their goals despite the first half being difficult.
"We will learn from our first half and prevent it happening again.
"The fans, they really sucked it into the net. They did their part today. You can see the unity we want to cultivate in the men on the bench and the staff.
