Valve announced Friday that the Steam Next Fest will be held in the first week October. This event will give access to playable demos for hundreds of upcoming PC gaming titles.
The video teaser gave glimpses of several games that you can expect to see in the demo. These included Airhead from Octato Games and Unexplored 2 from Ludomotion. Also, Mahokenshi, Starship Troopers Terran Command, Life of Delta, and ANNO:Mutationem, all from Thinking Stars. IGN also reported that The Last Campfire, by Hello Games, creators of No Mans Sky will have a playable demo as part of Next Fest.
According to the video promo, gamers can discover the latest from both veteran developers and first-timers.
These online events have been held by Valve every few months in an effort to fill the gap left by the devastation caused the coronavirus pandemic. The Steam Game Festival was originally called, but Valve changed its name to Steam Next Fest for the June 2021 event. Developers will have the opportunity to receive feedback from their fans directly about their games. The event will also include game demos and livestreams with developers.
Steam Next Fest opens at 1PM ET on October 1st and continues through October 7th.
