Durst may have confessed to the murder of his wife Kathy Durst, according to Berman, during filming of HBO's documentary "The Jinx: The Lives and Deaths Of Robert Durst." You can hear Durst muttering in the documentary, "You're captured... What is the hell did you do?" They all were killed, of course. Durst confessed to having been high on meth at the time he made this confession.

We've reported that Kathy vanished in 1982, and that it was widely believed Durst murdered her. Durst was not charged with the murder but Kathy's family filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against him. Durst won that suit.

L.A. County prosecutors wanted to prove Durst murdered Berman because she knew something concerning Kathy's mysterious disappearance. Her body was discovered on Christmas Eve 2000. Two days later, LAPD officers received a letter from a person indicating where Susan's body was located.

Cops claimed they had linked the letter with Durst, but the case was closed until the HBO documentary.
