Shaquille O'Neal's now $16.5 million Florida mansion is still on the market -- and underwent a huge makeover

Home prices in Orlando, Florida continue to rise in a hot real-estate market.

This is unless the home was designed for Shaquille O’Neal, who was 7-foot-1 and a 15-time All-Star.

O'Neal's home has 12 bedrooms, 15 baths and a 17-car garage. The mansion also features a wine cellar, a large theater, an indoor basketball court that is NBA-certified, and an aquarium. The mansion is situated on 3.94 acres.

According to the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, prices have risen 15% year-over-year in Central Florida because of the historically low supply of homes. The average Orlando home price is just over $360,000

The agency that sold O'Neal’s house came up with a new strategy. They wanted to remove as much Shaq from the house as possible.

Previous listings featured O'Neal touches, logos and memorabilia throughout. There are many photos in this new Zillow entry. The only notable Shaq reference is an embossed logo at the home gym.

O'Neal (49) is an analyst on TNT's "Inside the NBA", but he's not a stranger to business ventures or successes. O'Neal owns a shoe brand, "Shaq", and is also a minority owner in the Sacramento Kings. He also owns several restaurants, including Auntie Anne's and Papa John's franchises.
