Google Pay: Banks supported, how it works, and everything you need to know

Google has made it clear that the few methods for digital, contactless and peer-to–peer payments that it used have moved from being available in a variety of apps and services to now reside under the Google Pay app. You can now load the app onto your best Android phone and change how you pay. Although the updated Google Pay replaces an older app with the same name, it is the one that you will need to use the older features. It's not necessary to worry about making mistakes. Google Wallet, Android Pay and Google Pay Send are no longer available. All of these have been retired and Google Pay will take over. You can store your credit cards online for easy online payments and contactless payment. You can send money to a friend or rent to a roommate. All of this is possible in Google Pay. Google Pay is now available for both Android and iOS devices, although it has fewer features. For contactless payments, you can use one Google Pay with Wear OS smartwatch in a few countries. Google Pay combines all of these features into one. It is your place to make payments of any kind. Google Pay has a major overhaul, with new design features and cashback rewards. Google Pay is meant to make it easy to use. To make payments to your family and friends, you can quickly connect with people or groups of people in the app. It will also display nearby restaurants and gas stations that accept Google Pay. You can also find merchant offers through the app. These can include cashback rewards and discounts. You can save money or earn by using Google Pay to make transactions at these businesses. Google also introduced the Plex bank account. It integrates seamlessly with Google Pay and its mobile app. It will allow you to perform all the functions that you'd expect from a mobile bank app. However, it will seamlessly integrate with Google Pay. Plex will launch in 2021. However, you can sign-up for the waitlist by downloading the new Google Pay app. These are the financial institutions who are partnering Google. Citi Bank and Stanford FCU will be the first to launch Plex.

All that's fine and dandy. But how do you actually get started with Google Pay? Google has made it easy. Once you download the app, it will allow you to add credit/debit cards and gift cards quickly, as well as loyalty programs. Are you concerned about compatibility with Android's best phones? Google Pay is compatible with almost any Android phone. Do you need some help? You can find our how-to guide here. Which countries are supported by Google Pay? Google Pay is now available in more countries. It is a long list, and the number of countries supported depends on which feature of Google Pay you are using. The list of countries that support peer-to-peer payment is limited to the US, India, Singapore. Google anticipates that this will increase dramatically in the coming year. This includes payments between countries. Western Union covers over 200 regions and Wise covers over 80. You can see the current list to enable NFC contactless payments on your Android phone using Google Pay. Google provides a detailed breakdown of the features supported in each country. Are you a resident of a country that offers Google Pay? It's awesome! But that's only half of the battle to ensure you can use the service. You will still need a bank or card that supports Google Pay to be able to make payments in stores using your phone. Google has been building this list for a while so you can be sure that you are covered. Google Pay is available in the United States for major brands such as AMEX and Capital One, Chase, Discover and Wells Fargo. You'll also find many smaller banks/credit unions supported. The full list can be found here. You can also use the app for boarding passes and event tickets storage.

You can use Google Pay to not only store your credit/debit card but also loyalty programs and gift cards. After you add items, all these items will be displayed in the Passes section. If you have a lot of items, you can hold down and drag it around to ensure everything is organized. You'll see the "Add to G Pay” button for ordering tickets from these brands, similar to Apple Pay. This allows you to store all your items under one app. Google Pay is ready for travel. In addition to allowing you to pay at gas stations or restaurants, Google Pay also allows you to pay for transit tickets and parking in certain cities. Google Pay works with more than 80 transit agencies so that you can save a card to board trains or buses onto your smartphone. The app allows you to pay parking meters in more than 400 cities before you get out of your car. Google Pay and the Web One thing that the Google Pay app has moved away from is the internet browser. Although you can still visit pay.google.com you will find that it is not the same service as Google Pay. Google also removed the ability for you to send and receive payments directly from your contacts via the browser. Integration of Google Pay with other Android apps
