First full survey of Peru and Chile’s threatened fog island ecosystems

Fog oases are green spaces that can be found along the Chilean and Peruvian arid coasts. They provide clean air, water, and medicinal plants. Scientists aren't sure what to make of the fog islands, but satellite surveys suggest they could grow over an area four times larger than previously thought.

I'm sure they know, but it gives me that information about where it is located in the landscape.
