Many countries are preparing to launch a booster program, as a growing body of evidence suggests that vaccine-induced immunity from covid-19 decreases over time. While Israel has already started, the US, France, and Germany all have plans to roll out third doses. Other countries, such as the UK, are still holding back. The results of a crucial trial of third shots will be available soon.
