We were delighted to see any glimpses of the future on Star Trek: Lower Decks. However, we were also disappointed to receive a mid-season trailer. It is making us realize that the show's excellent second season will be coming to an end. But! This clip shows that there are still plenty of laughs, action, awkward moments, and Star Trek references.
That was a lot of information packed into just 20 seconds. The ensigns are doing all the little things that keep the ship running, including collecting strange space junk, bracing for impact, specifying the difference between phaser rifles and phaser rifles and dodging severed heads. Starfleet is their home and they don't shy away from a challenge. (Alas, the ballroom dancing contest will have to be postponed.
