FIFA cleared the players who were called up from Brazil, Chile and Mexico during the international break to participate in the Premier League this Saturday.
After a request by the Brazilian Football Confederation, FIFA invoked Article 5 in an attempt to stop Premier League clubs selecting players they have refused to release for the latest round international fixtures.
After Premier League clubs unanimously agreed last week not to release international players from countries on the UK Government’s red list, this request was made.
After extensive discussions with FIFA, FIFA and the Premier League, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile and Mexico agreed to lift the five-day automatic restriction they had the option to impose.
It was Friday night at midnight, just 12 hours before the fixtures start on Saturday.

Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus and Ederson will be able play against Leicester on Saturday. Chelsea will have Thiago Solia available, while Chelsea will have Thiago Silva. Manchester United will call upon Fred, while Leeds can include Raphina who was unable to make his international debut.
This ruling could also have prevented players from participating in Champions League matches on Tuesday.
On Friday, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had expressed his dismay at the situation during pre-match press conferences.
Klopp stated: "It's a very difficult situation and really tricky to all the clubs and the players in particular.
"We must not forget that these players wanted to play these matches, and the clubs wanted to let them go, but it was impossible."
