TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. is exceptionally talented at infusing rich detailing into would-be conventional garments, a technical he demonstrated excessively for Fall/Winter 2019, "1ONE MY WAY." Idol Brooklyn showcases key pieces from the range in great detail, highlighting the adjustable technology, graphic accents and effortless cuts that appear throughout.

An enormous puffer jacket, cotton parka, leather vest and leather pants are anchored by FW19 "Big Fat Toe Boots," inspired by the bunny boots worn by soldiers in extremely cold weather. Each layering piece is rife with zippers, straps, layered hoods and graphic panels, the latter of which displays a series of short poems. The puffer jacket boasts zippered closures that can be undone to dangle the sleeves by the attached straps, a feature that carries over, sans straps, to the other pieces, some of which retain the jacket's "I LOVE NOW" verbiage on the rear. Deep pockets, relaxed fits and military references - including a quilted, zippered liner - reinforce the functional inspiration that informs the range.
