After last year's Australian Open, Salisbury and Ram shared their second Grand Slam victory.

Briton Joe Salisbury stated that it was a "dream come true" to win US Open men's singles title. He and Rajeev Ram won the match in New York and defeated Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares.

Salisbury, 29 years old, and Ram, his American partner defeated Murray and Soares in Britain 3-6 6-2 26-2

After their win at the Australian Open in 2020, this is Salisbury's second Grand Slam title.

Salisbury stated, "To have won with Rajeev it is amazing."

It's a dream come true. He's been an amazing partner," he said. "We look forward hopefully to getting more titles together."

Murray and Soares, seventh seeds, broke serve in the seventh match to win the first set.

Their opponents, seeded fourth in the draw, responded with a double break to force a decider. They also maintained their momentum to win Flushing Meadows.

Salisbury, a Londoner who lost the final of the 2021 Australian Open, is now in the fourth round of mixed doubles along with Desirae Krawczyk, an American partner.

Murray and Soares won the Australian Open and US Open together, but Murray was paired with Neal Skupski, a fellow Briton in New York in the previous two tournaments.

After reuniting with Soares, they didn't have much time to train before the Grand Slam. This was after Soares had missed the Olympics in Japan to have an appendix removed.

Murray said, "We are very proud of how we competed. We fought our way into the final."
