Elon is just too busy.
Cerebral Guy
It's a historic moment, a crew consisting of four civilians is about to launch into space aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule. Inspiration4, the launch, could mark the first ever all-nonprofessional trip around the Earth.
Elon Musk, SpaceX CEO, isn't basking in the spotlight ahead of Wednesday's launch. Inverse reports that Musk has spoken only twice with Jared Isaacman, the billionaire mission leader and funder for the expedition.
Isaacman explained to Inverse that I try to not talk too much to him about the mission, or even talk to him at all because he is a very cerebral, big brained guy. He is constantly trying to find solutions to the world's problems and I don't want to disrupt that process.
This seems to be Musk's polite way to say that he is too busy to speak to the Inspiration4 crew. It is a shame considering how important the occasion is.

Too Busy
Sian Proctor, a fellow crew member and science communication specialist, has not had any one-on-1 time with Musk.
She shared that she is looking forward to speaking with Jared because it was his vision that gave me this opportunity. It is important for me to have the opportunity to express my gratitude and thankfulness.
Musk is probably just very busy. Musk's space company has been actively building a huge tower measuring 400 feet that will be able to make it to orbit or even Mars. This is a monumental engineering challenge of unimaginable proportions.
He still has time to talk to the few people who are willing to risk their lives to support his business. It's possible to have a lot of fun with your business associates.
