Apple reportedly overcomes Watch Series 7 manufacturing issues

According to MacRumors, Apple has apparently overcome production problems with the unreleased smartwatch, Apple Watch Series 7. The company will begin mass-producing the device in mid September according to Ming-Chi Kuo's report. This news comes as Apple prepares for a major launch event scheduled for September 14th. It will likely be focused on the latest iPhone models, with the Apple Watch expected to also make an appearance.
Bloomberg and Nikkei reported late last month that Apple had temporarily stopped production of its latest smartwatch until it addressed the problem. These issues are believed to have been caused by the Series 7's new design. It is said to have a smaller display and sharper edges than previous models. Apple has used new manufacturing processes, which caused reliability problems in early tests.

On Watch 7 from last weekend: Well see an announcement during the usual September event alongside the iPhone, but there will be a mix of the models shipping late or in small quantities. https://t.co/xkvN14Mv3O Mark Gurman (@markgurman) September 10, 2021

These issues have now been solved, and shipments are expected to start in September. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that Apple will announce its new Watch next week. However, some models may ship later or in smaller quantities.

The new smartwatch will have a flatter display and a 41mm and 45mm case. This is an increase from the 40mm and 44mm, respectively. It will also have a larger display of 1.78 inches diagonally. Rumours suggest that the watches will feature a faster processor as well as updated wireless technology.
