Apple is getting ready for new iPhones, and possibly a lot more. We have gathered a lot of speculation and rumors over the months, so it is time to summarize what we expect to see from Apple.

Apple is likely to host two events this year. The company has a lot of products to announce in 2021. We are going to let you know which products we believe will be most popular and what might take longer.

Here's what you can expect from the September 14th event.

Probably

iPhone 13

It's September and, with the exception last year, it's also the month Apple has officially announced every major iPhone release since 2012. Although there is always the possibility that Apple could announce the new iPad or Apple Watch at a different time last year, the current buzz about the rumor mill makes this unlikely.

Here are some examples of what we anticipate:

We expect four iPhone variants again this year: The iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Apple is expected to increase battery capacity across its product line-up. However, this could be partially because

Rumours have it that the Pro models will be equipped with 120 Hz displays (finally).

Apple is expected to upgrade the cameras with improved optics and a new astrophotography-night mode. This may be something that the invite might hint at.

Some phones might have a smaller notch.

They'll continue to use the Lightning port over USB-C

There have been reports that Apple may add satellite communications to its iPhone 13. However, even if these rumors are true, it is possible that the feature will not be available until next year. This feature is said to allow users to make emergency calls even if there's no signal from their cellphone.

According to reports, the non-Pro devices will be available in six colors: black (blue), purple, Product(RED), white, and rose). This last option will replace the last year's green. The Pro models will be available in black, silver and gold as well as bronze.

We don't expect the phone to look any different from its predecessor, but we do hope it will be subtle changes. For a more dramatic update in design, you will have to wait until the iPhone 14

iOS 15 Release Date

Well, duh. Officially released iOS versions always accompany new iPhones. Developers and enthusiasts can preview the OS for months, but the official release will be made available in the days after the September 14th event.

Apple Watch Series 7

Apple Watch will likely get its most recent redesign. The Apple Watch will be available in sizes 41 and 45 mm, which is just 1 mm more than its predecessors. However, thinner bezels should allow for significantly larger displays. Flat edges are expected to be available on the devices, in keeping with Apple's recent mobile device design.

Although we don't know much about the actual hardware changes, other than an increased battery, Apple will undoubtedly introduce new software features. Although there have been some rumors about the delay of the device's release, I believe it will still be announced at this event because it is so closely tied to the iPhone.

AirPods 3

Rumours have been swirling that Apple will refresh its AirPods, which are cheaper than the originals. This could be confirmed at the September event.

These will be powered by a larger battery and offer wireless charging, according to Leaker Max Weinbach via his @PineLeaks Twitter account. They will also have better bass than previous models, according to Max Weinbach.

Rumours also suggest that they will adopt a design similar to the AirPods Pro with shorter stems.

Perhaps

iPad Mini 6

Rumours abound that Apple will announce a new iPad Mini in the fall. However, it is not clear when. It could be announced alongside the new iPhone or Apple could save it for an event later this year. However, stores have been experiencing low stock levels which could indicate a launch sooner than expected.

We imagine that the iPad will have the same A15 processor as the iPhones in the future.

New budget iPad

We also expect a new iPad budget this fall. The A13 may be the alternative, but it should still work for most users. The rumored design will be thinner.

Apple TV Updates

Although we haven't heard anything about Apple TV news, the September 14 invitation did include the tagline California streaming. But who knows? Maybe it refers to Apple TV or Apple TV+.

HomePod with a display

In March, rumors circulated that Apple was developing a HomePod with a display similar to the Google Nest Hub and Amazon Echo Show.

Apple will be entering this category eventually, especially after the HomePod fell apart. We just don't know when.

It's a rare thing

Apple VR/AR glasses

Apple has been steadily building its mixed reality ambitions over the years. This year, Apple featured an AR Easter egg in its invitation. We don't think we will see Apples AR or VR glasses before 2022, according to current rumors.

Macs New

Apple has a tendency to keep its Mac and mobile updates separate these days. Given next week's jam-packed events, I expect the same for this year.

New MacBook Pros will feature a more powerful version of Apple's ARM-based silicon. They will have smaller bezels and 14-inch and 16-inch displays. We expect a larger iMac and possibly a new Apple Display.

Rumours have been rumbling about a redesign of the Mac Mini. If we are lucky, we may even see a teaser for the new Mac Pro in the fall. Apple had even tagged its WWDC stream earlier in the year with M1X to hint at a processor upgrade.

These are all things that we expect to see in the fall, most likely in October or November.

What to Watch

Apple will stream the event live on September 14th at 10 AM PST/1 PM ET. It can be viewed on Apple's website, in Apple TV App, or on YouTube. We have embedded the YouTube stream below.
