Vivo's latest flagship phone, the X70 series has been announced by the company. This new line of flagship phones will allow Vivo to expand its partnership with Zeiss, a renowned lens manufacturer. It also refines the blueprint that was laid out by the X50/X60 phones over the past year.
The X70 Pro Plus, the highest-end device, features a Snapdragon 888 Plus processor and a 6.783 inch (yes, that's the spec), 1440p OLED screen. It also has a 4,500mAh lithium battery that uses Vivos 55W FlashCharge technology. It also supports Qi wireless charging at 50W. Vivo's first phone to support wireless charging. This should make it an attractive option for those who have Qi chargers scattered around their home.
The Zeiss-branded X70 Pro Plus Zeiss camera array features a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 48-megapixel gimbal stabilized ultrawide. There is also a 12-megapixel telephoto and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto. Vivo has introduced three new simulatedbokeh modes that are based on the optical properties of Zeiss classic glass. These include Distagon Planar and Sonnar. The Pro Plus has the new Vivo-designed Imaging Chip V1 image processor that is designed to increase performance in noise reduction as well as motion compensation.
The X70 Pro's and X70 Pro's have smaller 6.56 inch 120Hz displays, Mediatek Dimensity 1200 processing units, 44W FlashCharge, but no wireless charging. The X70 Pros camera system increases the ultrawide to 12 megapixels. While the X70s triple array has a 40-megapixel primary sensor and two 12-megapixel sensors, the X70s triple array is comprised of a 40-megapixel primary sensor and two 12-megapixel sensors.
Vivo has not released pricing information or details about the X70 series. However, Vivo says that the X70 series is being slowly introduced in countries like India, Thailand and Indonesia. We'll be bringing you more information as the X70 Pro Plus is looking compelling.
