SpaceX Installs Rocket Engines on Starship Booster to Spell “420”

Coincidence, or more Musk meddling?
420 Vision

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk seems to have once more professed his love of marijuana.

Two Raptor engines were installed on Wednesday on the Super Heavy booster prototype of space company SpaceX. They were numbered RB4 & RB20 by one Twitter user who was watching yesterday's events via a live stream provided by NASASpaceFlight.

The engines make 420, which Musk seems obsessed with and a variety of marijuana culture notes.

History Lesson

SpaceX plans to launch its first orbital test flight of Starship using a Super Heavy, dubbed Booster 4, and a Starship prototype named Ship 20.

It was the weed number, again. Musk tweeted that it was at least a coincidence.

Musk and the three-digit number have had some difficulties. Musk joked, but not really, that he would take Tesla private for $420 per share on Twitter in 2018. The Securities and Exchange Commission sued him for his comment.

The billionaire seems to have an insatiable appetite for ridiculous numbers. The booster height was originally 70m. However, we removed a half-barrel to improve manufacturing efficiency. Musk has now added a tweet last month, referring to 69, another ridiculous number.

It is not clear if the Raptor engines were deliberately arranged to make the number 420. Musk has not yet made an official statement about the incident. Musk may be happy to learn if the incident was an accident.
