Google has released a teaser trailer of its new Pixel 6 smartphone. It includes several images of the device in action. This footage is just a little more than a month after Google released the first official images of its upcoming smartphone, which were merely renders.
Google teased the phone on its Instagram page. This may hint at when it will officially launch. Although it is a bit later than the Pixel 5 announcement last September (30th), it's still in the right range.
My colleague Dieter was able to test out the Pixel 6 (but not photograph it) last month when Google announced that the new system, which is based on a chip (SoC), called Tensor, will power the device. It features a Tensor Process Unit to accelerate AI operations. There will be two versions of the Pixel 6. The Pixel 6 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ curved display and three rear cameras, including an ultrawide lens and a folded 4X optical zoom telephoto lens. The regular Pixel 6 will be smaller at 6.4 inches and feature a flat 90Hz FHD+ display. There is no telephoto camera.
