Two UK tech figures plan to row the Atlantic for charity supporting minority entrepreneurs – TechCrunch

Two tech leaders from the UK will row across the Atlantic Ocean for charity to fund social entrepreneurs from minorities.
Guy Rigby is the founder of Smith & Williamson's Entrepreneurial Services Group and is now chair. Investor David Murray will also raise funds for UnLtd, which has helped over 15,000 social entrepreneurs in the UK.

With support from UKs Tech Nation and Founders Forum as well as London Tech Week, the pair have secured approximately 350,000 funding for UnLtd. You can support their fund-raising efforts by donating here. They are open to sponsorship from other tech organizations.

UnLtd previously supported startup companies such as Patchwork Hub, which created an accessible employment platform for disabled people, and EduKit which created an app to assist school staff in understanding and addressing the mental health needs their students.

UnLtd has supported 662 social entrepreneurs over the past year. 42% of them identified themselves as coming from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic background, and/or being disabled.

Murray and Rigby will row the 3,300 miles from Antigua to the Canaries in December 2021. They hope to reach Antigua in February 2022.
