HBO Max Coming to Six European Countries in October

The streaming service WarnerMedia has announced that HBO Max will be coming to Europe next month. From October 26, Sweden, Denmark and Norway will have access first.

Next year, another wave of territories will be added: Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Bulgaria, Croatia and Czech Republic, Hungary Moldova, Montenegro and North Macedonia (Poland, Portugal, Romania), Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia).

The launch of additional territories is also planned for next years, but HBO Max currently has no plans to launch in France, Italy or Germany. WarnerMedia has agreements in place in these countries with other partners, which means that HBO programming can be accessed on services like Sky Atlantic or Now TV.

HBO Max was launched in the U.S. on May 2020. Since then, it has expanded to 39 territories across Latin America and the Caribbean. The above European countries will have access to HBO, Warner Bros. DC and Cartoon Network content, just like those in the other regions.

Johannes Larcher from HBO Max International stated, "This is an historic moment as HBO Max land in Europe." "WarnerMedia series and movies like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and The Big Bang Theory are loved by millions of fans across Europe. HBO Max was created to give them the best viewing experience possible.

HBO has not yet revealed the price of its streaming service in Europe. However, it will announce that information in October's virtual launch.
