Timo Werner scored Germany's 19th goal

Both Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger, a Chelsea duo, scored as Germany beat Iceland in their qualifying campaign to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In the first half, Rudiger was able to score a header and Werner scored from Blues teammate Kai Havertz's pass in the second.

Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry, both Bayern Munich players, were also present on the scoresheet.

Germany is the top of their group, four points ahead of second-placed Armenia. Armenia drew against Liechtenstein.

Belgium, the world number one team, maintained their unbeaten record with a 1-0 win over Belarus.

Dennis Praet from Leicester City, who is on a season-long loan to Napoli, was the winning goal scorer in the first period.
