ViacomCBS has revealed a new Star Trek: Prodigy look as part of Star Trek Day celebrations. This animated series is kid-focused and takes viewers back to the Delta Quadrant where they will encounter young, alien heroes. As they embark on the Starfleet's abandoned experimental ship U.S.S., you will be joining them. Protostar is none other then Voyager icon Kate Mulgrew. She reprises her role as Captain Kathryn Janeway, but with a twist. Protostars Command Training Hologram is actually Kate Mulgrew. She sees the potential for this motley crew of people to be bold and go on their own.

The series follows Dal (Brett Gray), Rok–Tahk, Rylee Alazraqui), Murf(Dee Bradley Baker), Jankom Pog [Jason Mantzoukas]) as they escape a life in servitude under the evil Diviner (played here by John Noble), who is after the Protostar. Gwym (Ella Purnell), a reluctant companion, is dragged along by the Diviners Starfleet ship plans. The new crew sets out to explore the Delta Quadrant, escaping the Diviners grip and the threat posed by Drednok, voiced Jimmi Simpson. The trailer even shows a glimpse at familiar species such as the Kazon!

Starfleet has a Captain who is more familiar with the Delta Quadrant than anyone else to help these rebellious kids, regardless of whether she's holographic. They eventually learn how to arm the weapons systems. Star Trek: Prodigy will air on Paramount+ October 28. It will air at Nickelodeon after its run there.
