When the leopard chased the cat, the leopard fell into a waterhole. The leopard realized the situation and decided to leave the intended prey alone. At one point, the leopard even allowed the cat to take shelter under its body in order to avoid getting into the water. Pankaj Garg, Deputy Conservator for Forests West Nashik Division said that both the leopard and the leopard were in the same well. The leopard was not preying on the cat but it was following the cat on land. However, they were able to support each other when they fell into water.
