In Netflix’s Don’t Look Up, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence are astronomers trying to save the world

Although it's not as scary as the moon dropping, Netflix's new Do Not Look Up series deals with another space-related disaster: A comet on collision course with Earth. It's interesting that no one believes the two low-ranking astronomers (played here by Leonardo DiCaprio & Jennifer Lawrence) who discover the problem. This includes Meryl Streep as the president, Jonah Hill playing her irritating son (and chief-of-staff).
The trailer looks great and the cast is equally impressive. Other than the main stars, there are appearances by Timothe Chalamet and Ariana Grande as well as Kid Cudi, Kid Cudi and Cate Blanchett. Adam McKay directed and wrote Dont Look up. His past credits include Anchorman and Step Brothers as well as The Big Short.

After premiering in select theaters December 10, the movie will be available for streaming on Netflix on December 24, 2017.
