ESPN reported that Donald Trump, the former US President, has signed a contract to announce a Saturday boxing match between Evander Hollyfield and Vitor Belfort.

His son Donald Trump Jr. and he will call a live "gamecast", a broadcast of four fights at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, Florida. According to Triller Fight Club, organizer of the match, he and his son.

Alternate commentary from the Trumps has been added to pay-per-view website FITE.tv. This site was purchased earlier this year by Triller, a social media app.

This isn’t Donald Trump Sr.’s first venture into boxing. In the 70s and 80s, he hosted legendary boxing matches at his Atlantic City casinos.

Trump has participated in televised fight events before, though it was a staged one. In 2011, he pounced upon Vince McMahon, the WWE executive. He also landed some faux blows at Battle of the Billionaires 2011. He wrote in his book, The Art of the Deal that he had given his second-grade music teacher a black eye because he thought he was insulting his understanding of music. This is according to The Washington Post.

He once claimed he wanted to punch a demonstrator in the face during one of his rallies in 2016, claiming he misses "the old days" where such people were "carried out in a stretcher."

Saturday's event will feature Holyfield (58-year-old former heavyweight boxing champion) against Belfort (44-year old former UFC lightweight champion). Holyfield will be filling in for Oscar De La Hoya who was diagnosed with COVID-19 and had the fight cancelled.

The event also featured fights between Anderson Silva, Tito Ortiz, David Haye, and Joe Fournier.
