Two scandals from Nickelodeon's Blues Clues history will remain forever etched in the minds of those who grew-up watching the series: the time Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper had their baby Paprika during the season one finale and the moment Blues first owner Steve Burns left the show in 2002.

The thing that made Steves departure and the introduction of Steves younger brother Joe, Donovan Patton, so significant to Blues Clues fan was the way it represented the passing of time as well as the fact that things can change. The Blues Clues legacy was preserved in the subsequent series Blues Room & Blues Clues & You. In these shows, Patton and Burns have reprised their roles as Josh (Joshua Dela Cruz), Steve's cousin.
Except for the finale, in which Joe sees Steve catch a bus to leave town, Blues Clues never dwelled too much on the gravity and end of their lives. But this week, ahead of the new live-action Blues Clues movie Blues Clues, Steve posted a message on Nick Jr.'s Twitter page, with a message to everyone who knew him back when.
Although it is jarring to hear Steve admit to the student loan debt he had after he graduated from college, this is a part that many Blues Clues fans came to accept as they followed his path. It is a little odd to see Steve tap into the good-old Blues Clues parsoc ial relationship of grown adults. If you've ever wondered if Steve from Blues Clues thinks about your, the video's earnest message may be something you would be interested to hear.
