Manchester United: Jesse Lingard rejects new deal

West Ham finished 6th in Premier League last season thanks to Lingard's performance

Jesse Lingard, England forward, has turned down a contract offer by Manchester United.

Lingard is concerned about Lingard's ability to play this season. This is especially true since the arrival Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lingard impressed last season during a West Ham loan period. He scored two goals in Sunday's World Cup victory against Andorra.

The current United contract for the 28-year old expires at the end of the season.

Lingard was offered a move by West Ham, and West Ham were keen to see him return.

He's only four minutes into Premier League action this season, having been on the bench at Southampton's draw last month.

It will be more obvious how much he will be used over the next three week by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United's manager. During that time, United open their Champions League campaign and Carabao Cup campaign, as well as playing four league matches.
