Georgia moved up three places to No. 2nd behind Alabama in Tuesday's Associated Press Top 25, which revealed Tuesday. This makes the SEC the number two team in the country, making it the 30th consecutive time in the 85-year-old college football poll.

The SEC is now ranked 1-2 in the Top 25, for the second consecutive season and third time in five years. LSU and Alabama had a four week run as Nos. They were 1 and 2 in the 2019 season prior to playing each other.

The Crimson Tide has strengthened their grip on No. After beating Miami, the Crimson Tide strengthened their hold on No. Alabama received 59 first place votes, an increase of the 47 it received in the preseason poll.

After beating Clemson 10-3, Georgia won four first-place votes.

Ohio State moved up one spot to No. Oklahoma fell two spots to No. 3. After a narrow victory over Tulane, 4 Texas A&M is the fifth team in the SEC, making it five teams in the top 5.

Clemson dropped three spots to sixth. This marks the Tigers' first time being out of the top four since 2017. Clemson fell as low as No. Clemson finished fourth in the season's final seven games.

No. 7 Cincinnati and No. 8 Notre Dame moved one spot up each. Iowa State fell two spots to No. 9 - One spot ahead of No. 9 Iowa going into Saturday's rivalry match.
